Joe Finelli's Story
I began as a res agent on February 21, 1981 after a 20-minute interview (the day before I started!). In Those days, they were hiring "contingent" employees, people not fully matriculated into the company. We were called "temps" even though we worked full hours.
After about 6 or 7 months as a contingent, I finally had the chance to interview for a "permanent" position (with Brian Moss. . . remember that name?) and was selected as a permanent NYA employee.
I worked in res for about another 2 months before going "inflight," where I remained as an active crewmember/training instructor until I resigned from CO in May of 1987.
I've kept in touch with a few people over the past 18.5 years and have been working for American Express Business Travel Services since them. I've lived in Atlanta, Georgia (for 9 years) and San Diego, CA (for 10 years) since that time.
I've looking VERY forward to attending this reunion. I can't wait to see everybody!!
